Microsoft Collaboration Tools

Using Adept4 to implement Microsoft Teams

Businesses are always seeking out new ways in which they can improve the way that their teams share and work on documentation together, and how they communicate with each other, but it is often never agreed upon. This results in employees using their own sourced apps and tools to share documents and to communicate with each other, leading to unauthorised applications being used – this is also known as Shadow IT.

We understand that, when rolling out an UCC, that no one-size-fits all which is why we create a tailored approach that works for your business. We seek to understand how your business works, not just your IT infrastructure, but what apps are currently used, what impact shadow IT could be having on your business through its security risks and how your business can best adopt UCC. The culture of the business and its attitude to change management is key to success in this area.

We’ll also provide training, as we understand that adoption of a new tool can be difficult. During and post-adoption, you’ll also continue to receive access to our 24x7 support teams.

How can you adopt Microsoft Teams?

By working with Microsoft, we’re able to help you adopt Teams into your business, regardless if it’s a replacement to Skype for Business, greenfield adoption or as an integration into your current telephony infrastructure.

Skype for Business to Teams

Microsoft have decided to phase out Skype for Business and for it to be replaced with Teams. Therefore, businesses need to start preparing for a transition from Skype to Teams as much of the functionality has already been integrated into the app.

We understand that an adoption of any new app or IT infrastructure can be a difficult time that’s why we operate in a clear method.

• Discovery – working with you, we’ll review how your business currently uses Skype for Business, any challenges currently faced, identify the benefits of integrating Teams and agree on an implementation plan. This implementation plan will not only tackle the technical aspects of the project, but also focus on how to implement the solution successfully ensuring adoption by all the users.

• Implementation – we’re a transparent business and will ensure that we keep communication channels open with your business and will keep you up to date with all steps in the implementation plan as it is executed. We’ll provide technical assistance to make sure you utilise the right licence, providing configuration and will integrate Teams into your current Office 365 licence or, if required, integrate into your current telephony infrastructure. We always make sure that we don’t make any changes without your approval and by ensuring we follow the relevant change management process. Finally, we’ll provide training for both administrators and for end users.

• Support – during and after rollout of Teams, you’ll continue to have access to our 24x7 support teams who’ll help you and your end-users overcome any issues that may occur.

New Adoption & Roll-out

Adopting a new way of working can seem a daunting prospect. But it doesn’t need to be! Adept4’s approach to integrating Teams into business, where there is currently no other business-wide or a non-Microsoft UCC application, is the same as if we were replacing Skype for Business.

• Discovery – working with you, we’ll review what tools, if any, your business use, any challenges currently faced, identify the benefits of integrating Teams and agree on an implementation plan. Key to this is getting the users to “buy in” to the solution – and adoption also being led by the management.

Integration into Telephony

Teams isn’t just an app that you can use for document sharing and for messaging with colleagues, it’s also a cloud infrastructure. We’re able to integrate your phone lines – including DDIs and PBXs – into teams for a single communication and collaboration platform. We will;

• Asses your current telephony platform. Review your current SIP/ISDN arrangements, any PBX hardware and other integrations.
