adept4 Limited was founded in 2007 as a focused managed I.T. Solutions provider delivering true 24/7 expertise on a global basis covering areas such as email, storage/backup, security and infrastructure. During this first five years adept4 have developed Cloud based services providing solutions such as virtual desktops and virtual servers.
Organic growth combined with a concentrated acquisition strategy positions adept4 as a focused ITIL based service delivery organisation providing hosted, cloud based and on-site business applications and services supported by a true 24/7 follow the sun helpdesk.
A series of acquisitions has extended adept4s expertise to consist of both I.T. and telecoms services including WAN provision, hosted IPT as well as software development and programming capabilities.
adept4 Limited completed the purchase of K10 Solutions in February 2013.
K10 Solutions was launched in 2003 and is one of Aberdeen’s premier IT Support companies. K10 deliver fast and efficient local IT services in Scotland including IT Support, IT Maintenance, Server Virtualisation, Cloud Computing and Technical Consultancy.
This acquisition marks a milestone in adept4’s strategy; developing a presence in Aberdeen Oil & Gas market and has produced an increase of almost 50 clients.
K10 Solutions now operate as adept4 Limited.
TGF Consultants Ltd
adept4 Limited completed the purchase of TGF Consultants Ltd in February 2012.
TGF was founded in November 1990 within the nuclear industry. TGF holds a significant presence in the nuclear industry, offering consultancy services to all organisations in the industry, including nuclear site licence holders, site licensee contractors and site operators, as well as regulatory bodies such as the ONR.
TGF extended their offerings to include non-nuclear Health, Safety and Environment services forming TGF Safety who deliver Health and Safety Policies, Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, Manual Handling Assessments and site Inspections and Audits.
The third division of TGF is TGF Software, this team of developers and analysts have a raft of experience in a variety of development environments. Bespoke development services are offered in .NET and other environments; the team can also implement and customize Microsoft SharePoint and Dynamics CRM 2011.
The skills within the software team have enabled legacy applications (e.g. FoxPro) to be rewritten into .NET environments. In addition they have supported large scale data migration transition & transformation projects, including SAP ERP implementations. Other services include BI/reporting projects making use of MS-SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Crystal reports and other BI tools.
TGF Nuclear and TGF Safety will retain their brand names whist TGF Software will undertake a re-brand moving into the adept4 group as ‘adept4 Software’.
The acquisition produced an 83% increase in the adept4 customer base, leading to a 25% increase in turnover.
All divisions now operate as adept4 Ltd.
adept4 Limited completed the purchase of QMediastream Limited in February 2012.
QMediastream (QMS) was founded in 1999 launching the pioneering web based carbon offset company Future Forests, the original networking site Ecademy, and providing the online presence for the 2002 Climate Legacy Conference, Johannesburg.
In 2003, QMS acquired Ethical Media taking charge of the prestigious Glastonbury Festivals of Performing Arts website, becoming their long term digital partner. In 2007 QMS merged with the Atlantic Enterprise Group.
The acquisition provided a 200% increase in adept4’s number of clients and a 25% increase in the contract base.
QMediastream now operates under adept4 Ltd.
adept4 Limited launched a telephony division in February 2011 providing adept4 with the capability to deliver cloud and hosted telephony services, unified messaging solutions, WAN and LAN architecture design and deployment as well as WLR and CPS management (including mobiles).
adept4telecoms supports adept4’s strategy to provide innovative solutions encompassing video conferencing, Blackberry voice recording (FSA compliance requirement) as well as providing hosted telephony solutions using both Cisco and Avaya technology.
adept4telecoms now operates under adept4 Ltd.
adept4 Limited completed the purchase of Desktop Support Solutions Limited in December 2010.
Desktop Support Solutions (DSS) began trading in 2000 with a focus on providing corporate level I.T. support and network services for clients across the U.K.
The acquisition produced a 20% increase in adept4’s customer base, leading to a 5% increase in turnover. The purchase also expanded adept4’s delivery expertise in the Microsoft SBS marketplace.
Desktop Support Solutions now operates solely as adept4 Ltd.
